Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer (Journeyman) with Test Automation Experience to support the MilPDS and HRSD testing efforts. The role emphasizes automation code, manual testing, and pipeline integration using UiPath and OpenText UFT One across AFLCMC BES/G BHR divisions.

Requirements include US citizenship, DoD knowledge, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Onsite schedule is Monday–Friday, 8–5, with 10–20% travel and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field and 3+ years in the discipline (5+ in DoW alternative).
• Proficiency in Java, C++, or VBScript and core software engineering concepts.
• Experience creating, debugging, maintaining automated test suites with enterprise tools like UiPath or UFT One.
• Familiarity with Jira for defect logging and tracking.
• Knowledge of RMF and Federal DoW cybersecurity policies.

Responsibilities

• Identify IT acquisition strategies, quality measures, and verification processes in IT/test domains.
• Design and perform system-level tests to ensure subsystems meet specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation defining system/subsystem characteristics.
• Prepare management reports and technical presentations for planning and corrective action.
• Provide Agile and digital system/program engineering support across development and deployment lifecycles.
• Assist with risk management activities in line with SEAM processes.
• Comply with DoW AF/AFMC directives and related documents.
• Support testing workflows with automation and CI/CD integrations.
