Job summary

Torch Technologies seeks a Senior Software Engineer with Test Automation experience to join a team supporting Air Force HR systems. You will apply software engineering skills to test automation, tool engineering, and quality verification across MilPDS and related HR software.

The ideal candidate writes maintainable automation code, executes manual testing, and supports CI/CD using UiPath and OpenText UFT One. Onsite at Randolph AFB.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Master’s or Doctorate with 8 years of experience; 5 in DoD.
Or Bachelor’s with 12 years of experience; 5 in DoD.
Or 15 years of related experience with proper certifications as described.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and analyze planning, requirements, design, coding, and test docs.
Work with source code, configs, and engineering resolutions.
Evaluate feasibility of requirements and proposed solutions.
Develop documentation, flowcharts, and code comments to demonstrate solutions.
Design system specs, standards, and install solutions.
Improve operations via systems/process analysis and policy changes.
Advise on software procurements by researching vendors and products.
Collect, analyze, and summarize issues for development/support.
Develop software by studying requirements, user stories, and data needs.
Evaluate tech such as containers, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD, and SDLC automation.
Ensure cybersecurity policies are applied to software delivery.
