Capstone Technology Partners seeks a Systems Engineer SE2 to support the SDLC for DoD customers, building and managing product installations, and collaborating with developers, QA, DevOps and other engineers to ensure production readiness.

The role emphasizes security, performance tuning, and compliance with organizational standards, while partnering across teams to deliver reliable cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications

• RDBMS experience (tuning, migration, optimization).
• Docker expertise; Kubernetes familiarity is a bonus.
• Terraform and CloudFormation/CDK proficiency.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms.
• AWS Foundational Level Certification.
• RDS and relational database experience in the cloud.
• Knowledge of ICAM capabilities and integration.
• Experience documenting system configurations, processes, and support procedures.
• Experience collaborating with developers, testers, and product owners.
• Strong organization and time management; ability to work independently.
• Experience implementing and maintaining system monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to work with a team of developers, QA, DevOps and other system engineers to support the Software Development Lifecycle . The Systems Engineer will contribute to building and managing product installations for DoD customers. The role includes collaborating with development and QA teams on system testing, validation, and performance tuning in support of production readiness, and to ensure system compliance with security best practices and organizational standards.

Must Have:

• Experience implementing and maintaining system monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Soft Skills: excellent oral and written communication skills-Able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts

Requires:

• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with MD polygraph
• 10+ years of System Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of 15 years.
