Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required.
- BA/BS and 5+ years of experience; Masters and 3+ years of experience; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Proficiency in networking protocols, security principles, and system automation.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
- Strong ability to research, analyze, and document system requirements with traceability.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Experience in virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Understanding of database management and storage solutions.
- Background in cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
- Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jama, etc.).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems architecture, troubleshooting, and optimization, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security. A key aspect of this role is researching and ensuring traceability of requirements, ensuring they are well-documented and met throughout the system lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement system architecture solutions to meet business needs.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure system requirements are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain traceability matrices to track system requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and enhance existing systems while maintaining compliance with documented requirements.
- Manage system security, including data protection, access controls, and compliance with industry standards.
- Automate system administration tasks and improve efficiency through scripting and other tools.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams, ensuring best practices in system management.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines, ensuring alignment with documented requirements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in system engineering.
