Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA, seeks a Systems Engineer (2/3 level) to design and test real‑time physics‑based simulations supporting operator‑in‑the‑loop environments. On‑site role with up to 25% travel, requiring a Secret clearance.

You will work with C#/C++, Java and OO frameworks to model sensor operations and EW effects, while collaborating in IPTs to deliver mission‑simulation solutions across secure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of exp, or MS with 3+ years.
• Active US Government Secret clearance or ability to obtain SAP clearance.
• Experience with C#/C++, Java, or other OO languages.
• Modeling and Simulation experience for radars, missiles, IADS, EA/EP/ECM areas.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test physics-based, real-time simulations for operator-in-the-loop environments.
• Model sensor/payload operations and EW effects using OO languages and modern frameworks.
• Perform trade studies via computer simulations to compare architectures and designs.
• Develop GUIs/visualization tools to support operator interaction and mission analysis.
• Conduct software builds, smoke tests, and CI to ensure quality and maintainability.
