Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Systems Engineer: Mission Modeling Simulation – Level 4 to join our on-site team. You will develop mission-level and system-level performance models, run simulations for missile and interceptor systems, and work with cross‑disciplinary engineers to shape architecture and requirements.

The role requires hands-on experience with MS&A tools (AFSIM, NGTS, Brawler, STK, MATLAB/Simulink) and programming in MATLAB, Python, or C/C++. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8+ years in systems engineering or modeling and simulation, or a Master/PhD with commensurate experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required and active Secret clearance.
• Experience in missile/interceptor or integrated air and missile defense simulations.
• Hands-on with MS&A tools (AFSIM, NGTS, Brawler, STK, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Strong knowledge of probability, statistics, and design of experiments.
• Ability to define MS&A plans and review models/assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Develop mission-level and system-level performance models, algorithms, and simulations.
• Conduct operations analysis, mission effectiveness studies, and evaluate architecture options.
• Integrate GUIs and visualization tools to present results.
• Map operational needs to system requirements, metrics, tests, and reviews.
• Propose analysis-backed recommendations shaping CONOPS and TTPs.
