Job summary

Aerodyne Industries is seeking a System Engineering for Portable Crew Device to join our Houston team. You will provide systems engineering support for Orion PCD integration with the HLS project office and vendors, coordinating with NASA channels and program offices.

The role requires a strong background in SE&I processes, model-based systems engineering, and documentation. On-site work in Houston with collaboration across multiple teams for design reviews, verification, and operations support.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5–10 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools and technologies including model based systems engineering.
• Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes to develop test requirements.
• Knowledge of space hardware concepts such as mechanical and electrical system design, drawings and materials.
• Ability to prepare written documents and present at meetings; organize and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering services to support integration of the Orion PCD System with the HLS project office and vendors.
• Support flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documents.
• Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages for architecture, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering.
• Conduct life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements.
• Participate in system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews.
• Contribute to development of Orion Con-Ops and system-level architecture trades.
