Job summary

ARES is seeking an Orion Cabin Integration Engineer to support NASA’s Orion program onsite at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. The role emphasizes independent initiative, clear communication, and meticulous systems integration work across teams.

The successful candidate will apply MBSE methods, manage interface docs, and help integrate requirements and specifications throughout the life cycle, with opportunities to improve SE&I processes and digitize workflows.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school with five years of related work experience.
• Applied working knowledge of product life cycle development and systems engineering & integration principles for complex systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with customers and stakeholders and manage multiple tasks independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles to establish and perform integration activities, including requirements management, architecture design, and MBSE artifacts.
• Manage Interface Requirements Documents and Interface Control Documents for the Orion program, interfacing with external teams.
• Integrate Operations and Maintenance requirements in collaboration with contractors and NASA.
• Support life cycle activities with documentation, reviews, and modeling/analysis.
• Establish relationships with NASA leads, system managers, contractors, and international partners for systems integration.
• Provide technical systems knowledge during milestones and reviews to ensure operational capability and supportability.
• Incorporate process improvements to advance SE&I maturity in a digitized environment.
• Build understanding of product life cycle to perform concept trade studies, requirements management, testing, and validation.
• Perform other duties as required.
