Job summary

Ntiva Branding is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to support a Washington DC area client on site. You will own IT operations governance and deliver scheduled onsite support, driving improvements through issue management and documentation.

This role requires 5+ years in IT operations, expertise in Microsoft 365, IAM, Windows endpoint support, and leadership. Four days onsite, one day remote; coordination with Ntiva remote staff ensures secure, well-documented environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, service delivery, or a similar field (MSP or internal IT).
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration: Exchange Online/Entra ID, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
• Identity and access management: MFA, Conditional Access, Azure AD/Entra ID, lifecycle management.
• Windows endpoint support: hardware troubleshooting, OS imaging, standard builds, device configuration.
• Endpoint management tools: Intune and Autopilot, device compliance policies and remediation.
• Networking fundamentals: VPN, Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP basics.
• Ability to manage service reviews, KPI tracking, backlog governance, stakeholder reporting.
• Documentation and process improvement: playbooks, SOPs, knowledge bases.
• Strong communication skills; able to explain technical issues to non-technical staff and leadership.
• Independent, able to handle competing priorities with professionalism.
• Leadership experience in IT capacity; team lead or supervisory background preferred.
• Desk-based work with some physical activity and IT equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily onsite appointments to provide end user support and manage client IT infrastructure.
• Provide hands-on user support and walk-up triage during onsite visits.
• Resolve Outlook/Teams/OneDrive/M365 issues in person.
• Handle password resets, MFA re-enrollment, and on-site access requests.
• Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, and AV hardware in conferencing rooms.
• Perform device setup, user migrations, and standard workstation imaging.
• Support onboarding/offboarding with hardware coordination and Ntiva remote staff.
• Troubleshoot organization-wide outages and coordinate with remote support.
• Conduct patch/compliance audits and ensure disk encryption and Intune enrollment.
• Verify network connectivity, VPN access, and Wi-Fi stability office-wide.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and recommend purchases as needed.
• Remediate devices out of compliance before alerts or tickets arise.
• Document server room equipment updates and remediation plans.
• Maintain and troubleshoot endpoint and infrastructure standards.
• Review weekly ticket trends and prepare status reports for clients and leadership.
• Lead top-demand area improvements; translate trends into actions with Ntiva team.
• Develop and maintain knowledge for playbooks to reduce incident churn.
• Collaborate with dispatch and remote teams to coordinate client support.
• Provide excellent customer service as the client’s designated IT contact.
