Job summary

Radiant, an El Segundo, CA–based startup, is seeking a Systems Engineer to develop and govern engineering standards for nuclear reactors. You’ll ensure hardware meets requirements, bridging analysis, test, certification, and design teams to connect technical dots and solve cross-functional problems.

The role emphasizes design criteria development, peer reviews, and collaboration with engineers through development, testing, and part release, with a strong onsite focus at the El Segundo HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in engineering design, analysis, or systems engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve design criteria, standards, and requirements for reactor subsystems.
• Provide peer review and approval of hardware designs during design reviews.
• Collaborate to drive optimized designs through verification and part release.
• Guide engineers to ensure design criteria are followed across design, manufacturing, and testing.
• Coordinate with responsible engineers through the entire design process.
