Job summary

KBR Mission Technology Solutions is seeking a motivated System of Systems Engineer to join the team in Lexington Park, MD. The role focuses on solving complex problems by integrating multidisciplinary hardware and software for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).

The selectee will contribute to design, development, implementation, integration, testing and delivery of cross-platform solutions. Responsibilities include interoperability engineering, design and test assessments, collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or in physical sciences from a regionally-accredited college or university.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of technical experience across varied fields, including design and performance of sensors and weapons, tactical data links, and naval command and control.
• Active secret security clearance; ability to obtain final DoD Top Secret clearance within six months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Interoperability engineering: provide direct support to government program office for linking sensors and weapons to Naval Integrated Fire Control capability to the fleet.
• Design, test, and deployment assessment: analyze design concepts, flight and ground test methods, and capability delivery considerations to create optimal solutions and resolve software/tactical issues.
• Collaboration: coordinate interdisciplinary solutions among government and contractor partners.
• Learn: participate in technical conferences and partner technical interchange meetings to bring advanced technologies to NAVAIR.
