Job summary

TCS is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our GMD program in Huntsville, AL. This in-office role supports the Ground Weapons System development and sustainment with modern tools and collaboration across teams.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with relevant experience, familiarity with DOORS/Cameo/MBSE, system engineering processes, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Willingness to travel and possession of a DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of systems engineering processes and principles.
• Experience applying systems engineering to develop product solutions.
• Must be familiar with DOORS, Cameo and MBSE.
• Experience with software development and verification of requirements.
• Experience with a large-scale missile defense system like GMD.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
• Capable of working independently and within a team environment.
• Must be able to support an in-person closed area work environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Current active in-scope DoD Secret clearance at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the Systems Engineering Team for the Ground Fire Control (GFC) product.
• Develop and assist in the requirements process to support design and development of GWS capabilities for the MDA.

TCS is searching for a Systems Engineer to join our strong team of Engineers supporting our Ground based Midcourse Defense GMD customer in Huntsville AL The GMD program is a portion of the Missile Defense Agencys MDA system to protect the US and our allies from ballistic missile attacks The selected candidate will use modern tools to further the development and sustainment of the GMD system This is an in office position Remote work is not available

Essential Functions

The selected Systems Engineer responsibilities will include the support of the Ground Weapons System GWS program as an individual contributor on the Systems Engineering Team for the Ground Fire Control GFC product The Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing and assisting in the requirements process that directly supports the design and development of GWS capabilities on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency MDAThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast paced work environment with high expectations significantly diverse assignments and collaborativeteams comprised of all experience levels

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in a STEM Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related work experience or a Masters Degree and 0 2 years of related work experience
• Must have a solid understanding of system engineering processes and principles along with proven experience in applying them to develop product solutions
• Must be familiar with DOORS Cameo and MBSE
• Must have experience with Software development and the verification of requirements
• Experience with a large scale missile defense system like GMD
• Applicants must possess good communication skills
• Applicants must demonstrate the ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products presentations and discussions
• Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
• Must be able to support an in person closed area work environment
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10 of the time to support business needs
• Applicants must have a current active in scope DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the MDA GMD program
• Battle Management or Fire Control experience
• MBSE or INCOSE Certifications
• Experience developing SE artifacts including specifications Interface Control Documents Use Cases System Architecture Descriptions Trade Studies and similar documents
