TCS is actively seeking a Sr Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL, supporting the GMD program. The role requires in-office work with DoD clearance and hands-on security engineering across SDLC, testing, and toolchains.

The engineer will contribute to MBSE, requirements tracing, and interface documentation while collaborating with system, hardware, and software teams to deliver secure, verified capabilities for the GFC product.

Qualifications

5+ years of related work experience with a B.S. in STEM.
3 years with a Masters in STEM.
1 year with a PhD in STEM.
9 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); software design, requirements, application development, integration, testing, and deployment.
Recent development using Python.
Recent experience in software development related to Test Automation.
Exposure to Test Automated GUI driven tools Eggplant specifically.

Responsibilities

Job Description

TCS is searching for a Sr Cyber Security Engineer to join our strong team of Engineers supporting our Ground based Midcourse Defense (GMD) customer in Huntsville AL. The GMD program is a portion of the Missile Defense Agency's MDA system to protect the US and our allies from ballistic missile attacks. The selected candidate will use modern tools to further the development and sustainment of the GMD system. This is an in office position. Remote work is not available.

Role

The selected Sr Cyber Security Engineer will support the GMD Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the GMD Fire Control (GFC) product.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in a STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related work experience;
or a Masters degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related work experience;
or a PhD and 1 year of related work experience;
or 9 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); software design, requirements, application development, integration, testing, and deployment.
Recent development using Python.
Recent experience in software development related to Test Automation.
Exposure to Test Automated GUI driven tools Eggplant specifically.
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE); development of requirements and multiple system engineering models.
Definition of high level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition and derivation of requirements, allocation of those lower level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements and tracking them through design verification, integration and operational validation.
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
Experience in documenting Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirement Specifications and Interface Description Documents.
Applicants must have a current DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher ex Security CE.
Experience working in an Agile environment using Jira, Confluence, Fisheye, Crucible, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
Proven ability to work across product teams to produce program level solutions.
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
Must be able to work in the office on site.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Software Development, Computer Science disciplines with 4-6 years of related engineering experience; OR a Masters degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience.
Recent and strong understanding of Python development language.
Experience using Jenkins and Elasticsearch.
Recent and strong experience in Eggplant Test Automation tool.
Experienced leader in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Proven communications skills.
Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers at all levels.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
Experience with network administration and related infrastructure.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with Systems Administration for Linux/Windows Operating Systems such as RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows 11.
Trusted User certified.
