Job summary

Teza Technologies in Austin, Texas seeks a Systems Engineer to manage our Linux-based server, storage, and client infrastructure. You will collaborate with development and trading operations teams to ensure reliable systems and applications.

You will monitor performance, resolve issues using tools like Icinga/Nagios/Zabbix-like approaches, and implement security measures. Strong scripting, automation, and on-call readiness are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in systems infrastructure operations or related field.
• Proficiency in Linux (RHEL or Debian based).
• Scripting in Python or Bash/Zsh.
• Automation with Ansible or Salt.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware).
• Identity management including LDAP, Kerberos, SSO.
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge; excellent troubleshooting.
• Effective communication and collaboration; able to work independently.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Teza’s server Linux, storage and client infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development and trading operations teams.
• Monitor performance and resolve issues using open source tools.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
• Implement and maintain security measures for data and systems.
• Develop and maintain system configuration documentation.
• Participate in on-call support rotation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
