Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a leading aerospace and defense customer in Waco, TX. This role focuses on the development, integration, and modernization of next-generation Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and mission systems for airborne platforms.

Responsibilities include developing system requirements, creating CONOPS, and guiding integration across software, hardware, networking, and avionics teams throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and minimum 2 years of experience.
• Experience developing system requirements, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and system lifecycle processes.
• DOORS and/or JIRA requirements management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements.
• Create and maintain CONOPS, use cases, and system-level documentation.
• Define and develop system architectures that integrate new technologies into airborne platforms.
• Evaluate new technologies for incorporation into existing systems.
• Support system development from requirements definition through integration, verification, and validation.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, networking, avionics, and integration teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams during design and integration.
• Support laboratory integration, system testing, and transition of new capabilities into operations.
