Insight Global is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a leading aerospace and defense customer in Waco, TX. This role focuses on the development, integration, and modernization of next-generation Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and mission systems for airborne platforms.
Responsibilities include developing system requirements, creating CONOPS, and guiding integration across software, hardware, networking, and avionics teams throughout the lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and minimum 2 years of experience.
- Experience developing system requirements, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and system lifecycle processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Satellite Communications (SATCOM)
- Communications Systems and Data Links
- Computer Networking
- Aircraft Systems Integration
- Software or Firmware Development
- Electronic Attack / Electronic Warfare
- DOORS and/or JIRA requirements management experience.
- Experience leading teams through system development and integration efforts.
- Military aviation, ISR, SATCOM, or mission systems background.

Insight Global is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a leading aerospace and defense customer in Waco, TX. This individual will play a key role in the development, integration, and modernization of next-generation Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and mission systems for airborne platforms.
Day to day Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements.
- Create and maintain Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), use cases, and system-level documentation.
- Define and develop system architectures that integrate new technologies and mission equipment into airborne platforms.
- Evaluate new technologies and determine how they can be incorporated into existing systems.
- Support system development efforts from requirements definition through integration, verification, and validation.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, networking, avionics, and integration teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams during system design and integration activities.
- Support laboratory integration, system testing, and transition of new capabilities into operational environments.
