Job summary

Ursa Major in Colorado is seeking a Systems Engineer II to verify propulsion systems meet customer needs. You will develop requirements, coordinate with design teams and customers, and plan verification and qualification with MBSE emphasis.

This role requires a BS in Aerospace/Systems/Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years in aerospace systems engineering, and familiarity with MBSE/Cameo, DOORS/Jama. Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Systems or Mechanical Engineering (or related).
• 2+ years in aerospace systems engineering: design reviews, verification and validation, risk assessments.
• Familiar with DOORS or Jama for requirements management.
• Experience with MBSE and Cameo.
• Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• US Person and ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support program leads in defining, validating, and maintaining requirements.
• Develop system-level qualification plans for Solid Rocket Motors (SRMs).
• Track requirement verification through development and qualification.
• Review test and analysis plans to confirm requirements.
• Support risk analysis and mitigation; manage system risks to closure.
• Ensure traceability between deliverables and cross-functional teams.
• Develop MBSE models of SRM systems and MBSE workflows.
• Communicate requirement compliance at program reviews with management and customers.
• Integrate internal models with customer models/frameworks.
• Create, manage, and train SE tools and processes.
