Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Systems Engineer II to verify propulsion systems and ensure they meet customer needs, with emphasis on traceability and MBSE. You will develop requirements, align with design teams and customers, and plan verification and qualification activities.

You will build MBSE models of SRM systems, manage cross-functional interfaces, and maintain linkage between engineering deliverables. A Secret clearance is required or eligible; DoD contracts experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Systems or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years applying aerospace systems engineering processes (design reviews, requirements validation/verification, risk assessments).
• Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama.
• Experience with MBSE and Cameo.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be eligible for U.S. Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support major programs in defining, validating, and maintaining requirements.
• Build system-level qualification plans for SRMs.
• Track verification status through development and qualification.
• Review test plans and reports to confirm requirement compliance.
• Support risk analysis and mitigation; manage system-level risks to closure.
• Maintain traceability between engineering deliverables and cross-functional teams.
• Develop MBSE models of SRM systems and MBSE methodologies.
• Communicate with management and customers on requirement compliance.
• Integrate internal models into customer models and frameworks.
