Job summary

Vosper Thornycroft Group in Chantilly, VA seeks a System Engineer II to translate mission needs into system requirements and engineering products with limited supervision. You will lead requirements development, maintain end-to-end traceability, and develop system artifacts while coordinating across software, network, cyber, cloud, and test disciplines.

A TS/SCI with Poly is required, with 5–9+ years of relevant experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
5–9+ years of systems engineering experience.
Experience with requirements management and engineering documentation.
Experience in structured delivery environments (Agile, iterative, or traditional lifecycles).
Prior support to U.S. Government programs (DoD/Federal/Civil) preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead or support requirements development, decomposition, and management with end-to-end traceability.
Develop and maintain system engineering artifacts (system specs, interface docs, architecture views, baselines).
Support integration planning and coordination across engineering disciplines (software, network, cyber, cloud, test).
Contribute to technical reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR) including materials and closing review actions.
Support verification planning and test readiness; ensure requirements are measurable and testable.
Identify technical risks/issues and propose mitigations; support configuration and change control.
