Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Systems Engineer Level 2/3 to join the Launcher Hardware team within Marine Systems. The role supports rapid growth and involves converting customer requirements into hardware/software solutions for Navy platforms. This position is 100% onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.

Required are a STEM degree with experience, knowledge of DOORS, and MBSE familiarity. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a secret clearance are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 2+ years (Level 2) or 5+ years (Level 3) relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• First-hand experience with requirements and interface management.
• Familiarity with system drawings and documents such as Interface Control Documents, System/Subsystem Specifications, Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRM).
• Experience with system engineering tools such as IBM Rational DOORS.
• Familiarity with MBE/MBSE concepts and tools.
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, system integration, verification and validation.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Update and maintain DOORS documents and verification traceability.
• Update system drawings and Interface Control Documents.
• Coordinate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, IRR, TRR).
• Support MBSE product development (behavior models, use cases, state machines).
