Job summary

Cobb County School District in Marietta is seeking a Systems Engineer II for the Customer Care Center. You will provide second-tier hardware, software and network support, perform system administration tasks, monitor networks and assist end users.

The role requires an Associate Degree or equivalent, MCTS certification preferred, and 2–5 years of experience. You will work with the Technology Services team to ensure reliable district IT services and assist with testing and deployment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification or equivalent preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in network engineering and systems administration.
• Experience with help desk ticketing applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure (routers/switches) and servers using monitoring tools; take appropriate action.
• Create help desk service requests from calls, email, and support site.
• Provide second-tier hardware and software support via remote management.
• Act as liaison between network services and field services.
• Perform system administration tasks including password resets and access control; backup recovery.
