Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem seeks a Systems Engineer II - Citrix to maintain and optimize the enterprise Citrix environment (XenApp, VDI, NetScaler) across Skokie, Arlington Heights, or Warrenville.

You will design, deploy, and support IT platforms, lead medium-to-large projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security, reliability and performance.

Hybrid work model, full-time schedule, local travel required to corporate sites.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience of related experience in IT Systems, Platform Engineering or Technical Engineering related to the role's specific technology portfolio.
• Previous experience with IT Systems, Platform Engineering or Technical Engineering.
• Previous experience developing and contributing to a specific comprehensive technology platform strategy.
• Acquired training or certification related to the role's specific technology portfolio.
• Enterprise Platform Engineering:
• Functional Knowledge of Cloud platforms and deployment models (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), Citrix (e

Responsibilities

• Maintains Endeavor Health software, platforms, infrastructure and devices; coordinates with engineers to ensure compatibility across systems.
• Leads technology initiatives within their span of control and portfolio and drives milestones with minimal direction.
• Evaluates resource requirements to maintain or expand service levels and optimize infrastructure.
• Installs software releases and upgrades, tests patches, and resolves software problems.
• Addresses inquiries and issues for software, platforms, devices and infrastructure.
• Manages and troubleshoots alerts and tickets, escalates when needed, and participates in on-call support.
• Supports security by reporting breaches and contributing to remediation tasks.
• Keeps current on all systems and related technology used by the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
