Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer II in Cedar Rapids, IA to design, develop, and test flight management software used on military helicopters and aircraft. You will work in an AGILE, cross-functional team and grow expertise in Flight Management Systems.

Role requires 2+ years in systems and strong knowledge of C/C++, Python, and DOORS. Travel is possible, and the position is onsite at RTX Collins Aerospace Military Avionics in Cedar Rapids.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.

What You Will Do

• Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight managementsystems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes.

• Grow knowledge of Systems EngineeringandFlight Management Systems.

• Integratesoftskills (leadership, communication, coordination, proactiveness) into adynamicenvironment that provides quality andtimelyproducts to internal and external customers.

QualificationsYou Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

• 2+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.

• 2+ years of experience in a Systems role.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Industry Experience of Software Lifecycle Development (Design, Requirements, Integration, Test).

• Pilot/Avionics Experience (i.e.Private Pilot,AircraftMaintenance, DO-178 Certification).

• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance if needed after day 1.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
