Collins Aerospace is seeking engineers to design, develop, and test flight management software for military helicopters and aircraft, integrating FMS capabilities within the Collins Integrated Avionics System. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in software, experience with C/C++/Python/DOORS, and a STEM degree, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
  • 4+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA and/or Python.
  • 4+ years of experience in a software role.
  • Industry experience in software lifecycle development (design, requirements, integration, test).
  • Pilot/avionics experience (private pilot, aircraft maintenance, DO-178 certification).
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance after day 1.

  • Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes

CAAS/Flight 2 Flight Management Solutions - Our signature products for Military Avionics as part of the Collins Integrated Avionics System, fielded on thousands of aircraft today, at this moment. What You Will Do

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
