Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace Military Avionics Flight Management team in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and test flight management software for military helicopters and aircraft.

You will work in an AGILE, cross-functional environment with 6-10 engineers, applying C/C++, Python, and related tools to deliver reliable flight management solutions while traveling up to 10% domestically or internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 2+ years of experience in a Software role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems integrated into military helicopters and planes.
• Improve knowledge of Software Engineering and Flight Management Systems.

Collins Aerospace is currently seeking qualified candidates for Software Engineer II roles in our Military Avionics Flight Management department located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Teams are comprised of cross-functional engineers working in an AGILE environment (approximately 6-10 people) focused on the design and development of flight management software applications. What You Will Do

• Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD.

This role may be eligible for relocation.
