Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America is seeking a qualified professional to design and review integrated security systems, including access control, IP video, and other security controls. The role involves developing construction documents, configuring protection and communication systems, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Installation teams, perform field surveys, and support design reviews while mentoring junior

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Technical 2 year degree or better and/or 1–3 years of security industry design experience.
1+ years experience engineering low voltage systems, preferably AV, DAS or Structured Cabling.
Certification in 2 Access Control platforms or equivalent.
Certification in 2 Video Management platforms or equivalent.
Certification in 1 Intrusion platform or equivalent.
Knowledge of NEC Code and low voltage systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

Prepare drawings and wiring diagrams for low voltage electrical projects.
Develop functional designs, construction drawings, relay settings, and equipment specifications.
Prepare electrical construction documents for renovations and new construction.
Design low voltage systems including security networks and IP video.
Lead all aspects of low voltage design within projects.
Conduct surveys and create drawings and layouts; ensure conformity with codes and standards.
Deliver technical presentations to internal and external audiences.
