Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America seeks a design engineer to create integrated security systems, review IP video, access control, and other building protections.

You will develop drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications, ensure code compliance, and collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Installation teams. Experience with low voltage design, CAD, and security platforms is preferred; travel not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent with 1–3 years of security design experience.
• Certifications in at least two Access Control platforms, two Video Management platforms, and one Intrusion platform.
• Familiarity with NEC Code and low voltage system practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings and wiring diagrams for low voltage electrical projects.
• Develop functional design, construction drawings, relay settings, and equipment specifications.
• Prepare electrical construction documents for renovations and new builds.
• Design low voltage systems including security networks, IP Video, and mass notification.
• Review designs for compliance with codes and standards.
• Deliver technical presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Installation departments.
• Work with CAD Drafters to produce installation and drawing packages.
• Provide engineering sales support and assess proposed designs.
