Job summary

Raytheon in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is seeking an Engineer to design, develop, and test cutting-edge Electronic Warfare technology and sensor systems. This on-site role supports RF system development, integration, and IV&V across multiple programs with a focus on scalability and reliability.

The ideal candidate will hold a STEM degree, have up to 12 months of experience, and be eligible for a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM by start date.
  • 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Experience with radio, comms, or radar systems design, operation, analysis, or simulation.
  • Experience communicating and presenting system design details and/or test results to stakeholders.
  • Ability to support travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

  • System Development: understand customer needs and participate in requirements decomposition, overseeing allocation of technical elements.
  • System Integration & Test: support integration, test, verification, fault identification, and production hardware acceptance.
  • Provide engineering oversight to lab test, evaluation, and analysis of issues in hardware/ firmware.
  • Support for customer inquiries, field failures, obsolescence, enhancements, and new product development.
  • Evaluate performance of developmental EW systems and signal processing subsystems.
  • Balance multiple commitments with moderate supervision.
