Job summary

WOOD Federal Solutions, Inc is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 1 to support a high-priority mission in the Annapolis Junction area. You will work closely with government stakeholders and senior engineers to help shape system architectures and drive requirements development across the full lifecycle.

You will gain hands-on experience across concept, design, integration, validation, and deployment while learning from seasoned experts in mission-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field; five years of SE experience may substitute for the degree.
• 1 year of experience with intelligence community privacy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs,CONOPS, and high-level architectures to develop system requirements.
• Lead and support design and development activities, ensuring alignment with system architecture (DoDAF, SOA, etc.).
• Develop system architecture documentation and design artifacts.
• Provide technical leadership in integrating requirements, technologies, and constraints into system designs.
• Guide system development and implementation planning through SE management and integration/test plans.
• Engage with government oversight on SE issues, risks, and considerations.
• Develop SE documents including Systems Engineering Plans, Requirements Specifications, ICDs, and Initial Capabilities Documents.
