Job summary

WOOD Federal Solutions is seeking Software Engineers (Mid/Senior) in Annapolis Junction, MD to join a SAFe‑aligned Agile team delivering a large enterprise system. You will help shape user stories, write clean code, and integrate with CI/CD.

Deep Java experience is essential and a TS/SCI with Polygraph is required. You will contribute across server‑side services and UI development, with opportunities spanning a wide tech stack, cryptographic frameworks, and secure environments.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated experience with Java.
• Experience with Spring to include Boot and Data, JEE (JPA, EJB, JTA), Jackson, Jersey, Swing, JavaFX.
• Experience or familiarity with multiple languages such as JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, SQL.
• Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse, VS Code, Visual Studio, WebStorm, Rhapsody.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server.
• Experience with Web UI development and AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT.
• Experience with software source control and configuration management tools.
• Experience developing on Windows.
• Professional experience with web services.
• Strong understanding of sound software development principles.
• Ability to plan and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform full lifecycle software development in an Agile team.
• Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, PI planning, and ceremonies.
• Analyze complex requirements and design using industry tools.
• Develop code that is efficient, maintainable, reliable, and reusable.
• Promote cross‑team collaboration and reusable components.
• Develop, tune, and document automation scripts; deploy in test and production.
• Implement robust test strategies with BDD and DevOps tools.
• Contribute to server‑side logic and client‑side UI as needed.
