Job summary

Phoenix Defense, LLC. seeks a System Engineer to analyze, design, and integrate complex applications for DoD programs. You will lead architecture development, requirements traceability, and MBSE modeling to deliver robust, scalable systems.

Responsibilities include collaborating with senior management and customers, ensuring interoperability and security, and guiding the project through design, integration, and testing phases. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer or information science field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of IT project/program support experience.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Experience with Java and/or C++.
• Experience in system architecture design and development.
• Modeling systems using UML/SysML.
• Experience using MBSE tools such as Enterprise Architect.
• Ability to derive system requirements from customer needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Current DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Engage with senior management and DoD customers.
• Define system architectures, designs, and interfaces with stakeholders.
• Serve as focal point for development and communication of a complete system architecture.
• Model architectures of complex systems using SysML/UML in MBSE tools.
• Perform requirements analysis and maintain traceability.
• Direct and participate in all phases of system development: requirements, design, integration, testing, acceptance.
• Identify IT project resource requirements.
• Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of system architecture.
