Job summary

Summit TRC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a highly capable hardware/software integration engineer to build and support next-generation aviation products. You will design, implement, and integrate complex system hardware and software, working across Linux OS, networks, virtualization, and scripting to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires active US Secret clearance, hands-on lab experience, and the ability to automate configuration and deployment of VMs and compute systems in both physical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Hands-on hardware/software system integration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Linux OS configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with physical and virtual networking.
• Experience automating system configuration with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Ability to troubleshoot across hardware, OS, network, and applications.
• Experience integrating systems in lab, test, or operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement hardware/software systems to support Summit TRC and customers.
• Integrate and configure computing hardware, network systems, and software into complete system solutions.
• Automate the configuration and deployment of new and existing VMs and computing systems.
• Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot Operating Systems and network components.
• Develop scripts to automate system, network, and software installation and configuration using Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.
• Troubleshoot systems level issues across hardware, operating systems, network, and virtualization.
• Continuously improve and reiterate hardware and software prototypes.
• Support systems integration, troubleshooting, and test events.
