Job summary

Summit TRC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a highly capable hardware/software integration engineer to build and support next-generation aviation products. You will design, implement, and integrate complex system hardware and software, working across Linux OS, networks, virtualization, and scripting to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires active US Secret clearance, hands-on lab experience, and the ability to automate configuration and deployment of VMs and compute systems in both physical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Hands-on hardware/software system integration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Linux OS configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with physical and virtual networking.
• Experience automating system configuration with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Ability to troubleshoot across hardware, OS, network, and applications.
• Experience integrating systems in lab, test, or operational environments.

Must be a US Citizen with an active security clearance.

This role will be performed on-site in Huntsville, AL.

This role will focus on building complex system hardware and software solutions for a next generation aviation product. The ideal candidate will have experience working across physical and virtual computing environments including computer hardware, Operating Systems (Linux), networking, and containerization. Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with hardware/software system integration and troubleshooting
• Strong experience working in Linux computing environments, including operating system configuration, administration, and troubleshooting
• Experience with physical and virtual network configuration and administration
• Strong understanding of computing system architecture, hardware components, and virtual machines
• Experience automating system configuration and deployment using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages
• Ability to troubleshoot problems across multiple layers of a system, from physical hardware and networking through operating systems and applications
• Experience integrating and configuring systems in a lab, test, or operational environments
