Job summary

Power3 Solutions seeks a Systems Engineer to join a cross-functional team supporting the GATEKEEPER product for DoD customers. The role focuses on building and managing installations, collaborating with developers, QA, and DevOps to ensure security, testing, validation, and performance readiness for production environments.

The candidate must have 10+ years of System Engineering experience, TS/SCI with MD poly, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• RDBMS experience, including tuning, migration and optimization.
• Docker expertise; Kubernetes familiarity is a plus.
• Terraform and CloudFormation (CDK) experience.
• Cloud platforms knowledge; AWS foundational level certification.
• RDS and cloud-based relational databases.
• ICAM capabilities and integration knowledge.
• Documentation of system configurations, processes, and support procedures.
• Cross-functional collaboration with developers, testers, and product owners.

Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to work with a team of developers, QA, DevOps and other system engineers to support the Software Development Lifecycle of the GATEKEEPER product. The Systems Engineer will contribute to building and managing GATEKEEPER product installations for DoD customers. The role includes collaborating with development and QA teams on system testing, validation, and performance tuning in support of production readiness, and to ensure system compliance with security best practices and organizational standards.

Must Have:

RDBMS experience (tuning, migration, optimization)

Docker expertise, familiarity with Kubernetes a bonus

Terraform, CloudFormation (CDK)

Familiarity with Cloud technologies and platforms

AWS Foundational Level Certification

RDS and relational database experience in the cloud

Knowledge of ICAM Capabilities and Integration

Experience developing and maintaining detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and support procedures

Experience collaborating cross-functionally with developers, testers, and product owners to align system behavior with business and technical requirements

Must have strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines

Experience implementing and maintaining system monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines

Soft Skills: excellent oral and written communication skills-Able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts

Requires:

Security Clearance: TS/SCI with MD polygraph

10+ years of System Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of 15 years.
