The System Engineer role in Hanover, MD with TS/SCI and MD poly requires candidate collaboration with developers, customers, and government teams, plus documentation and testing of new configurations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of System Engineering experience in programs of similar scope
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; 5 years of additional experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree
• Experience generating standard system engineering and test documents

Responsibilities

• Document full life cycle design, development and testing of policy-driven software across multiple fabrics.
• Gather, analyze, and capture customer requirements; triage user issues.
• Coordinate internal schedules, milestones, and weekly/monthly status reports.
• Coordinate software deliveries with external organizations and government clients.

Job Description

We are seeking a system engineer to work with a team of developers to implement new capabilities in support of the current classification marking tool and the tool to be used to support M365 web-based applications. The position involves documenting the full life cycle design, development and testing of policy-driven software across multiple fabrics. Looking for a candidate with a technical background with experience in troubleshooting and requirements gathering. Must have the ability to document the tool and inner workings to include creating standard system engineering and test documentation. Attention to detail is needed to test new software releases and document results. The candidate should have the ability to work directly with customers to identify and resolve user reported issues either by establishing alternative solutions or generating bug reports.

Skills/ Experience with:

• Experience generating standard system engineering and test documents
• Excellent written skills and experience in generating program/process related documents
• Working experience with JIRA and Confluence
• Experience with Wiki
• Experience in AWS (ability to navigate AWS dashboards & services)
• Experience working collaboratively with a team of developers, Contractors, and the Government

Desired:

• Analyze system requirements, the concept of operations, and high-level system architecture to develop requirements specifications
• Gather, analyze, and capture customer requirements
• Triage user issues
• Track and respond to user issues/questionsEstablish internal schedules and milestones
• Report weekly/monthly/quarterly status in a timely manner
• Document processes and provide deliverable to the government
• Ability to test new configurations/software releases
• Coordinate and identify test users for various scenarios

• Contribute content for the development of high level documentation and guides

Requires:

• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with MD polygraph
• 3+ years of System Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of 8years.
