Job summary

Sentar is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force’s GBSD/Sentinel program out of Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on developing system requirements and architecture for a real‑world weapons system, with emphasis on DoD standards and interfaces.

The ideal candidate has a DoD Secret clearance, STEM degree, and experience with SysML/UML/DoDAF, Cameo, and full software life cycle practices. Join Sentar to contribute to critical national security missions.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance within past 6 years and SAP/SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline.
• SE 0: No experience required. SE 1: 5 years’ experience. SE 2: 10 years’ experience. SE 3: 15 years’ experience. 4 years of additional experience may substitute for Bachelor's degree.
• Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture and SysML/UML/DoDAF.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high‑level system architectures to develop system requirement specifications.
• Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
• Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
• Develop system architecture and system design documentation.
• Interact with the team regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
• Maintain technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility.
