Job summary

Sentar Inc. is looking for a Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL, to support the U.S. Air Force’s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent program. The role involves analyzing user requirements, leading design and development activities, and ensuring technical integrity.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and an active DoD Secret clearance. Key skills include experience with modeling languages and software life-cycle processes.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance obtained or adjudicated within the past 6 years and SAP/SCI eligibility.
• 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user’s requirements and develop system requirements specifications.
• Lead design and development activities.
• Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
• Develop technical documentation.
• Develop system architecture and design documentation.
• Ensure the technical integrity of work performed.

Skills

Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture

Experience with SysML, UML, or DoDAF modeling languages

Familiarity in Agile

C/C++ and real-time processing

Experience with full software life-cycle

Experience with JIRA/Confluence

Experience with safety critical software

Familiarity with structured software development

Experience with Git products

Experience with automated testing techniques

Experience with test framework/application and system verification

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline
