Job summary

Generac is seeking a Systems Engineer - Engines to provide engineering input across product development projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, sourcing, quality, service, and marketing. This role focuses on defining requirements, testing, and validating engine designs for manufacturability and performance.

The candidate will mentor junior engineers, travel to other Generac facilities as needed, and contribute to CAD/CAE modelling and product

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with engine integration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Specify and input design; validate and bring products to market.
• Define precise functional requirements; test and evaluate components.
• Collaborate with engineering groups to plan tests and validations.
• Work with manufacturing partners to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Provide input to CAD/CAE modelling for new designs.
• Support product development plans including schedule and cost.
