Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking an Engineer II for Large Industrial Generators. The role involves providing engineering solutions for product development, interfacing with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, quality, service, and marketing.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, drawings, BOMs, and supporting development plans. The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical or electrical engineering, 3+ years experience, and hands-on CAD experience (Creo/SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with 3D modeling tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Designs, validates, and brings new products to market.
• Provides new product development in the generator/product area including CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Interfacing with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality, service, marketing).
• Supports product development plans (schedule, cost, design inputs).
• Evaluates design for manufacturability, cost, reliability, and safety.
• Act as SAP Super User within the functional area.
