Job summary

Synectic Solutions, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer (Journeyman) to support the DIARCM program at NAS Patuxent River, Lexington Park, MD. The role focuses on research, development, integration, and life-cycle support of electronic systems for aircraft protection.

You will apply systems engineering methods, guide complex system development, and coordinate across security levels while delivering clear technical documentation and briefings.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with Top Secret/SCI and SAP eligibility.
• BS/BA in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in engineering or defense programs.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or government settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Travel of about 1 week every 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, integrate, test, acquire, and support lifecycle of electronic systems for aircrew safety.
• Apply systems engineering methods to design and test practical solutions.
• Guide development of modern, complex systems.
• Use systems engineering tools across multiple security levels and teams.
• Provide technical guidance to managers, sponsors, and peers.
• Summarize data and prepare technical documents and status briefings.
• Gather and manage technical requirements to align with project goals.
