Job summary

Reflect Health is seeking a Systems Engineer to own the health of the Impact claims platform end-to-end. The role blends hands-on development (SQL, C#, scripting) with systems engineering, vendor management, and disaster recovery. Hybrid schedule in Cincinnati, OH with potential for cross-functional collaboration across teams.

The candidate will design, implement, and optimize integrations, while ensuring system stability and security through best practices and testing.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in database/application development or systems engineering.
• 3–5+ years healthcare data integrations experience with X12 EDI and related transactions (e.g., 837, 835, 999, 834, 278).
• Familiarity with the Impact system or similar claims platform preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of MS SQL and C#; experience with database objects.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and TDD/BDD desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Impact claims platform, including code updates and performance improvements.
• Provide technical guidance on claims-processing challenges and opportunities.
• Design, develop, and test system enhancements per client specs; write advanced SQL queries and manage data workflows.
• Build tools and automate manual work using Python/PowerShell; collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
• Monitor, secure, and optimize systems; perform backups, DR planning, and documentation.
