Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking an experienced engineer for its Browser Isolation team. You will develop and maintain high-performance C++ in a Chromium-based browser and contribute across Go, Rust, and TypeScript services.

The role involves debugging complex distributed systems, improving performance, and owning features from design to production. You will join a collaborative, security-focused environment with opportunities to shape browser performance, reliability, and scalability while learning Rust,

Qualifications

• Production software delivery experience; strong C++ skills.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and service-to-service communication.
• Ability to understand unfamiliar codebases and break problems into steps.

Responsibilities

• Own well-scoped features and improvements from design to production.
• Develop and maintain C++ in Chromium-based browser; contribute in Go, Rust, TypeScript.
• Debug failures across browser processes, Linux hosts, and distributed services.
• Improve session reliability, startup time, latency, and resource efficiency; validate with measurements.
• Write maintainable code, automated tests, and design notes; participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with teammates and partner teams; communicate trade-offs and blockers.
