Client in Chillicothe, IL is seeking a Dev/Research Engineer 3 to join the autonomy software and hardware integration efforts on 12-month assignments. Job Description

As a Systems Engineer, you will work as the engineering interface between L8 Autonomous hauling application teams and L6 base machine systems teams. You will be responsible for autonomy hardware and software solution integration with base machine systems.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group: Collaborate with systems teams to ensure that software and hardware designs are delivered on time. Includes requirements development and documentation. Test and validation support. As well as some procurement support activities.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Autonomy Systems integration engineers to ensure the product architecture requirements are fulfilled.
  • Work with Technical program managers and Application Architects to ensure that program requirements are being met (time, cost, quality).
  • Ensure that Base machine software changes are delivered on time for command for hauling releases. These can be NPI and CPI solutions depending on the state of the program.
  • Support Field data collection kits activities. Including design support, procurement, shipping to site. Data collection?
  • Documenting architecture specifications, software design description, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures, and safety procedures.
  • Assisting in the verification and validation process. Includes supporting/troubleshooting hardware in the loop and proving ground test and development.
  • Participating in design and development of application software and algorithms for robotic platforms.
