Job summary

The System Engineer will spearhead requirements review, system design, and interface coordination for Teledyne Energetics products, managing embedded software and hardware integration from concept through verification.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in System Engineering (ABET) with 5+ years in defense/aerospace, and practical DO-178C/DO-254 experience, strong documentation, and excellent communication skills. U.S. Person status is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in System Engineering; ABET-accredited program preferred.
• Experience in defense/aerospace programs is required (5+ years).
• Embedded software design experience and DO-178C/DO-254 knowledge are essential.

Responsibilities

• System-level architectural design (HW and SW) and interfaces definition.
• Translate high-level requirements into derived requirements and verification plans.
• Create requirements verification matrices.
• Debug and perform root-cause analysis; document results and corrective actions.
• Embed software development and debugging activities for hardware/software products.
• Lead design reviews with customers and vendors; prepare documentation.
• Produce engineering documentation (specifications, matrices, analyses, reports).
• Mentor junior engineers and support process improvements.
• Apply continuous improvement methods to existing processes.
