Position Overview

Systems Engineer – Level 2, Promontory, UT.

The Systems Engineer 2 will be responsible for the team’s technical execution, standards, workflow processes, and NASA program/project support. The role provides mentoring and leadership to a team of highly skilled systems engineers and ensures product quality control.

Responsibilities
  • Capture model-based digital architecture and requirements while retrieving compliance data for the defense program.
  • Coordinate with customers and program team members to understand the intent and needs of the integrated system.
  • Evaluate and manage customer requirements and derived flow down into subsystem and component specifications.
  • Analyze system needs and translate into verifiable performance and design requirements.
  • Support verification approach and develop analysis and test results to support stakeholder requirements.
  • Integrate customer‑directed changes and facilitate implementation within a change management system.
  • Coordinate and communicate between multiple cross‑functional subsystem teams.
  • Support capture of model architecture for model‑based integration of requirements, design, analysis, and verification.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM) with 2 years of professional experience – or Master’s degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Minimum of 2 years in Systems Engineering methods.
  • Strong understanding and broad application of systems engineering thinking.
  • Experience developing and implementing internal standards.
  • Understanding of solid rocket motor system physics, design and testing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of Systems methods (Requirements, Verification, ICDs, MBSE).
  • Engineering leadership experience in solid rocket motor development, qualification and production.
  • Experience as a Project Engineer with demonstrated planning and execution.
  • Experience working on multiple programs of varying size, scope, and products.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting both internal and external customers.
  • Employee talent identification and development.
  • Broad application of PS engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, workflow, resource management, product development, etc.).
  • Experience guiding a functional systems team from product conception through certification.
  • Defining functional/programmatic risks and risk management.
Compensation & Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 – $118,900.00.

Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives for senior positions. Comprehensive Total Rewards package includes health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
