Job Summary and Responsibilities
Lead all critical mission planning and mission execution efforts; directly communicate with the range.
- Serve as Lead Systems Engineer and Mission Manager for flight experiments and tests.
- Generate and document system‑level interceptor and mission‑specific requirements.
- Perform vehicle performance assessments and participate in system‑level verification/data‑review activities.
- Create new system requirements and manage requirement changes in the Requirements Management databases, working effectively with IPT leaders, team members, and government customers.
- Drive tasks to completion autonomously; demonstrate mentoring/training skills.
- Create and manage original and revised specification/interface definition documents; coordinate document approval through peer review and signature process.
- Implement and manage system requirements in the Requirements Management databases (DOORS).
- Provide data for and assist in risk management (identifying potential risk) and trade study processes.
- Manage aspects of system design, analyses, interface verification, testing, and failure/anomaly resolution or mission operations.
- Participate in the creation and manage changes to system or subsystem analytical models.
- Interface with IPT engineering staff as required.
- Prepare and present materials at major milestone meetings.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience.
- Experience developing requirements and designing missions without customer‑directed requirements.
- Experience with requirements decomposition and allocation.
- Experience with mission timelines and mission CONOPs.
- Experience with range safety data products.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to work in fast‑paced development programs.
- Ability to travel required.
- Experience leading within an IPT organization as a lead or SME.
- System testing and launch operations experience desired.
- Previous Cost Account Management experience desired.
- Systems Engineering experience working MDA flight tests desired.
- Interceptor development experience desired.

Salary Information
Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 – $184,200.00. Base salary based on experience, education, skills and market conditions.
