You will deliver 24x7x365 support, develop SOPs, and assist with project implementations to meet organizational goals, while working onsite Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

The System Engineer will be responsible for installing, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise compute, storage, and desktop environments. This role requires expertise in Microsoft Server platforms, virtualization, cloud services, and enterprise infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure IT operations. The engineer will provide 24x7x365 support, develop standard operating procedures, and assist with project implementations to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and support IT projects to achieve technical service goals and objectives.
• Manage, maintain, and support system architecture solutions including compute, storage, and desktop environments.
• Provide continuous 24x7x365 support and resolution for enterprise hardware and software issues.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation.
• Generate reports and metrics for performance analysis and capacity planning.
• Establish and execute preventive maintenance schedules and activities.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to staff and contractors.
• Perform related duties as assigned and work onsite Monday through Friday.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR High School Diploma with minimum 2 years enterprise infrastructure experience.
• 1-2 years or more experience with deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Server Platforms (Windows Server 2019/2022), Microsoft Software Services (Windows Desktop OS, Active Directory), and physical server hardware (Dell PowerEdge, HP Proliant).
• Familiarity with VMware virtualization platforms including ESX, vCenter, and vSphere.
• Basic knowledge of Windows SQL Server, Microsoft 365 user management, Defender or equivalent security tools.
• Exposure to Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Intune and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services including Azure AD and governance concepts.
• Knowledge of Exchange (online or on-premises), backup and recovery solutions such as Veeam.
• Ability to assist with data center tasks including hardware rack and stack, and ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with VMware vSAN, Wasabi Cloud, Azure Co-Pilot AI, and Certificate Authorities.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery services including testing, planning, and documentation.
• Familiarity with Recast, ManageEngine, ServiceNow, SolarWinds, and Adobe technologies.
• General understanding of information security concepts and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS).
• Experience with Linux, DevOps technology stacks, and container platforms.
• Basic understanding of emerging technologies such as AI/ML and IoT.
• Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), Pure Storage Certified Architect, Dell Certified PowerEdge Operate, and VEEAM Certified Engineer (VMCE), or equivalent.

Special Considerations:

• Must provide 24x7x365 support resolution as needed.
• Work is performed onsite Monday through Friday.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs for hardware installation tasks.

• Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, onsite daily.
• Availability for 24x7x365 support and incident resolution is required.
