Job summary

Wolverine Staffing seeks an on-site Systems Administrator Level 1 or 2 to install, manage and troubleshoot enterprise compute, storage and desktop environments including Office 365, Azure and VMware. You will support 24x7 operations, develop SOPs, and provide metrics for growth planning.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of hands-on infrastructure experience, strong AD and PowerShell skills, and familiarity with virtualization, backup and data center tasks. This is an on-site role in Detroit.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in deployment, configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Server platforms.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, virtualization, and storage concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 / Defender security concepts is a plus.
• Exposure to Azure, SCCM/Intune, PowerShell scripting and data center tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, manage, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise compute, storage, and desktop environments.
• Provide 24x7x365 support for hardware and software as needed.
• Create SOPs and deliver performance reports and metrics.
• Maintain PM schedules and guide staff and contractors as required.
• Work on-site daily, with a focus on security, backups and disaster recovery.

Systems Administrator Level 1 or 2

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• The Technology Services department is responsible for providing and managing the technology needs.
• Seeking qualified on-site Systems Administrators (Engineers) who will utilize their knowledge, skills, and abilities to install, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot an enterprise compute, storage, and desktop environment including Office 365, Email, Azure, VMware, Windows Sever, SAN/NAS, Backup, File/Print, Anti-virus, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and support projects as required to meet TS goals and objectives.
• Implement, manage, maintain, and support the System Architecture solutions.
• Provide 24x7x365 support resolution for enterprise hardware and software as needed.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation.
• Provide reports and metrics for performance analysis and growth planning.
• Establish a Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule and execute planned activities.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to staff and contractors as needed.
• Work onsite every day (M-F).Perform related duties as directed.

Education Requirement:

• B.S in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• OR High School Diploma with Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience working in an enterprise infrastructure environment in addition to the time required in the Minimum Qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

1) 1-2 years or more experience with basic deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of:

2) Familiarity with basic deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of:

• a) Microsoft Server Platforms: Basic Knowledge of Windows SQL Server
• b) Microsoft Software Services
  • i) Understanding of Microsoft 365 User Management
  • ii) Understanding of Defender (or comparable security tools)
• c) Microsoft Management Services
  • i) Some familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Intune
  • ii) Some familiarity with PowerShell and how it can be used
• d) Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, exposure to Microsoft Azure Services (Azure AD, basic governance concepts)
• e) Exchange - online or on prem
• f) Back up and Recovery solutions - Veeam or similar
• g) Ability to assist with data center tasks, including rack and stack of equipment
• h) Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team environment
  • i) Ability to lift up to 30lbs as part of hardware installation duties
