Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Systems Engineer to support Navy programs focusing on command, control, communications and navigation systems. You will translate requirements into system-level specifications and support reviews throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate holds a Secret clearance, a technical bachelor's degree, and 3+ years of systems engineering experience, with strong communication and analytical skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Secret level security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical discipline and 3+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze requirements and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to develop, read, interpret and apply technical documentation.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support mission-critical U.S. Navy communications and navigation programs.

• Support mission-critical U.S. Navy communications and navigation programs
• Ensure technical solutions meet operational requirements, performance objectives and program milestones throughout the system lifecycle
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for research, engineering development and field operations of command, control, communications and navigation systems
• Analyze customer, operational and technical requirements and translate them into system-level requirements and specifications
• Support technical reviews including System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and System Acceptance Reviews (SAR)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical discipline from an accredited college/university and 3+ years of systems engineering experience supporting complex technical programs
• Ability to analyze requirements and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to develop, read, interpret and apply technical documentation
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
