- Lead system design and development efforts across new programs
- Perform design and development of integrated avionics and communications systems
- Provide expert judgment and analysis for technical products and systems
- Resolve complex technical issues and conduct advanced research
- Defend work and design approaches using Systems Engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
- Recommend design and development alterations to improve product and procedure quality
- Plan and accomplish goals using applicable experience and judgment
- Establish planning and reflection cadences across multiple project teams
- Guide development flow, architecture, design quality, code quality, system quality, and release quality
- Mentor junior engineering candidates in Systems Engineering best practices
- Develop and write system test plans and procedures
- Simulate end-user operations and execute test procedures
- Support generation of testable requirements and test bed architecture
- Write detailed test cases and document results in software development lifecycle management tools
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an Engineering-related field
- Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance required
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory
- 8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies
- Experience with simulation tools and techniques for system design, analysis, and validation
- Prior experience with Army Command and Control systems such as IBCS, FAAD, or THAAD
- 3+ years of experience with tactical data links, including Link 16
- 3+ years of experience with DoD radio communications systems
- 3+ years of experience with IP network design and maintenance
- Safe Engineering experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of the product life cycle, including system design, development, integration, test, delivery, product support, and retirement
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Project+, or AeroIT certifications
- Holds or willing to work toward Systems Engineering Professional Certification, such as INCOSE ASEP as a minimum
